Exploring Measures

Senior Infants have been exploring length and have gathered together data on their school and the surrounding environment. Working in groups, they measured different parts of the school community and compared their results.

Using lollipop sticks to measure the length of our radiators

“We looked at how we might measure things using things we could find in our classrooms.”

The boys and girls found that measuring with materials such as lollipop sticks and pencils took time and wasn't always easy. However, they had a great time.
