Science Show and Tell

We partnered with our local secondary school for a show and tell day. All four sixth classes visited the laboratories and explored a number of experiments with the secondary school students. It was very much a sharing of ideas. We showed the boys and girls what we knew about Acids and Bases and they, together with their teachers, showed us how to use Litmus indicators. We had a great time and really enjoyed the experience.

Our show and tell day was a great opportunity to show older boys and girls what we know about acids and bases.

We looked at the PH testing scale

Water was neutral and orange juice was acidic

We had carried out similar tests using red cabbage indicators so we could teach the secondary boys and girls too.
