The second class students, were looking at how heat causes molecules to expand and move. They designed and carried out an experiment to see what would happen to a balloon when it is placed atop an empty bottle that has been plunged into hot water. There were lots of interesting predictions.
Interestingly, the balloon was found to inflate and not burst as had been expected.
