We hope to celebrate Engineering Week 2019 from 02 - 08 March. A group of enthusiastic boys and girls from sixth class have designed a number of activities which they hope to trial with classes across the school. We will post their results here in the coming weeks.
An Engineer has a very important job, and all of the activities designed employ the skills of the engineer.
Task 1 - The Egg Drop Challenge
“Can you design a structure, using lego, that will prevent an egg from cracking when it is dropped?”
The purpose of the activity is to see if our engineering skills can create a structure that will protect the egg when it is dropped to the ground. Lots of imagination is needed. Here are some examples of our trial period.
