We have been looking at boats, inspired by some that we've seen in Dublin bay in recent months. Some of the boys and girls decided to design and make a tinfoil boat. They wanted to test the strength and durability of their designs. To do this, they launched the boats in water and added cubes (of equal weight and shape) to the boats until they began to take in water. The boats with the largest cargo before sinking were deemed the most successful.
